Return and Refund Policy for Books of Africa website
Thank you for choosing Books of Africa and shopping at our online market. We are here to make you satisfied with your purchase and wish you a good read. However, we would like to let you know what you can do in the case you are not happy with the item you purchased and want to return it.
You have 30 calendar days to return an item, purchased with us, from the date you received it.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same original condition as when you received. It must be in its original packaging. The item must have a proof of purchased or a receipt, materialised by an online payment or any other proof given by us at the time of the transactions.
Once we receive your item, we will notify you, after inspecting it, that we have received your returned item and inform you on the status of your refund request. If the refund is approved, we will initiate a refund to credit card (or to any other original method of payment). You will receive the credit within a certain number of days, depending on your card issuer’s policies.
Shipping a returning item:
Be aware customers are only responsible for their own cost of shipping a returning item and cannot claim any shortfall between the shipping fees Books of Africa has charged them to ship their purchased item. Books of Africa does not refund their own shipping cost for sending goods to customers, which is usually added to the amount paid by the customer during the payment process. In other words, if you receive a refund, this will bear a deduction of the shipping fees Books of Africa has paid primarily to send you the items.
